ProSpon during the Covid-19 crisiss

20/05/2022

The Covid-19 crisis hit ProSpon mainly due to the cancellation and postponement of planned, non-urgent surgical operations. When there was a lack of protective equipment for medical staff, the company used its polymer 3D printing capacity for manufacturing face shields. Working remotely was implemented on a larger scale and replacing part of the manufacturing process with automated technology, such as a robotic unit, was also considered. Despite the undesirable situation, ProSpon managed to participate in traditional Czech congresses as a partner and exhibitor during this period. Following the explosion at the wharf of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, which occurred on August 4, 2020, ProSpon participated in supplying corresponding medical humanitarian aid to local hospitals (especially external fixators for traumatology).
